The best pizzeria in Europe (outside Italy) is still in Paris. Peppe Cutraro, pizza maker based in the 20th arrondissement since 2020 has kept its crown in the ranking of the 50 Top Pizza transalpine guide. Excellent news for the Peppe establishment, at the top of rue Saint-Blaise.
Two addresses in Paris to taste the best pizzas
Peppe Pizzeria opened in January 2020 and a second address has since opened in the capital, Casa di Peppe (222, rue Saint-Jacques in the 5th arrondissement). Peppe Cutraro therefore continues the rewards, he who had already been crowned pizza world champion in September 2019 with a recipe with yellow cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, Parma ham, provolone, grilled almonds and fig jam.
Don’t miss the mortadella and pistachio pizza or the truffle and hazelnut pizza.
Other award-winning restaurants in Paris
Behind the king of Neapolitan pizza, there is a restaurant in Madrid and another in London. But, in Paris, other addresses are among the 50 best in Europe. This is the case with 400° Laboratoire, Gennaro Nasti’s new pizzeria, which opened a few months ago on rue Saint-Maur (11th arrondissement). “Here at +400° the Neapolitan pizzas are really good and have a balanced side, the dough is appreciated thanks to perfect cooking, indicates the jury. The original combinations and the particular proposals such as the seven-grain flour pizzas or the double-baked pan pizzas are very intriguing”.
Guillaume Grasso, located rue Brancion in the 15th arrondissement, is 23rd: “Here, you can discover the charm of a real neighborhood pizzeria while eating an excellent product at a price below the average for the city. Highly recommended. »
