The redesigned OCS app on Apple TV

The OCS app was completely overhauled on Apple TV a few weeks ago. This update distributed without fanfare is largely inspired by Apple’s TV application. A menu at the top of the screen gives access to the main categories: Home, Cinema, Series, Documentaries, Youth and Research.

In each category there are several thematic selections to discover the catalog of the service, including the famous HBO series. The interface is simple and neat, two criteria that were sorely lacking in the previous one, based on the style canons of Orange. The replacement is more intuitive, access to programs and control of their reading are significantly simplified.

The application also uses the native tvOS video player, which means that you can use the Picture in Picture mode, in particular.

Subscription to OCS with access to the Apple TV app costs €11.99/month. It allows you to watch videos on three screens simultaneously. The tariff will increase next month by one euro per month due to a VAT increase. A 7-day free trial is available.

OCS is about to enter a turbulent zone: while it could lose HBO’s programs, the service could be swallowed up by Canal+.
