After a first address close to Pigalle, Pizzou, the king of pizza made in France, offers you a new canteen in the heart of the Aligre district, in the 12th arrondissement. A beautiful menu that highlights the French terroir to discover, for all lovers of fusion cuisine. We tested, we tell you!
The pizza with 100% French fillings, what do you say? Direction pizza which opened a second address in the heart of the district ofAligre, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, after a first establishment in Pigalle. A restaurant with beautiful sunny flavors, between France and Italy, which will take you off the beaten track of gastronomy, in a unique trattoria atmosphere.
The idea behind the concept? Franciser this popular dish, but above all emblematic of Italian gastronomy, with lots of 100% French products: burrata of The Farm 4 starsin the Yvelines, flour from Great mills of Parischarcuterie from the Conquet house in Laguiole, Lonzu from Corsica, Tomatoes from Provence, white ham, mushrooms from Paris or even spicy sausages from Aveyron… So many good products that make up the beautiful pizzas of the house!
On the menu side, it therefore gives pride of place to French local products, while retaining the traditional recipes of Italian pizzas. A beautiful mix of genres imagined by remy and Vivianthe founders of pizza, and joined by Jean-Baptiste and Emma, two Setois who brought a little more sunshine to the trattoria. And a little specificity of the house: five new exclusive recipes to discover on site: The Good Motherstraight from Marseille with anchovies and fleur de lait, The Picotte with its beautiful spicy sausage from Aveyron, the Enricotta Macias and its grilled aubergines, the Brie Aubrac and its Brie de Maux AOC, but also the Bourre & Bourre & Burratamsurmounted by a burratina.
A card that the editorial staff was able to test. We let ourselves be tempted, as a starter, by the stracciatella and the Provencal bread… A delight ! The stracciatella is creamy to perfection and lovers of good olive oil should not be disappointed. Regarding the bread, it is particularly tasty, and goes very well with stracciatella.
Regarding the pizzas, we then opted for a “Pickle”made with tomatoes from Provence, fleur de lait, spicy sausage from Aveyron, red onions, homemade pesto and fresh basil, but also for a “Enrico Macías”, made with tomatoes from Provence, grilled eggplant, ricotta, 24-month-old Comté shavings, fresh basil and olive oil. Two pizzas with particularly good tomato sauce, just the way we like it. Regarding the Picotte, we also appreciate the spicy side, but not too much of the Aveyron sausage. A particularly interesting balance of flavours.
Same thing for the “Enrico Macias” pizza, softer in the mouth, but just as tasty. For dessert, a homemade tiramisu ended the lunch in style. We particularly appreciated the firmness of the mascarpone, but also the soaking of the biscuit, which was particularly successful. In short, a beautiful card that we can only recommend.
Next to that, pizza offers a nice range of drinks, with organic and/or natural wines, beers from the Fundamental Breweryof the white dove, water from Corsica or even five gins made in France, to combine with three local tonics. In short, a great address to discover if you pass through the neighborhood… Shall we go and have a look, friends?
