Our tips for making your homemade pizza a success

good flour

To succeed in your pizza, you have to succeed in your dough. For this, you have to choose your flour carefully. Preferably choose type 0 or 00 wheat flour. They have a high gluten content and will promote faster growth.

Dose the salt well

There’s nothing worse than spending the night drinking lots of water after eating a pizza that’s too salty. Count 20 g of salt for 1 kg of flour.

Knead the dough with love

Make a ball of dough using the palms of your hands and put it on your work surface. Then roll it out by flattening the dough and bringing it from the outside inwards. You should get a firm ball, it shouldn’t be sticky.

Let it rest well

Pizza dough takes time. For it to make beautiful bubbles when cooked and for it to be simply good, it must be left to rest. We have tips for successful growth! The first is to place your dough in a warm place. The heat activates the bacteria present in the yeast even better and this allows the dough to rise better.
You can put a bowl of water in your oven and turn it on between 20 and 25 degrees. Place your bowl with your dough in it and let your dough rest warm. You can also place it on a radiator or any other warm place.

Our second tip is to film your dough in direct contact with the cling film so that it does not dry out on top.

good ingredients

Before cooking this beautiful pizza, you will have to garnish it. So, for an optimal taste result, the secret is to use good products. Take a trip to the market to find a delicious mozzarellafrom fresh basilic of your garden or even if it is the season, take fresh tomatoes and make your own homemade grout. Because the dough is certainly important, but the ingredients are also the key to success for a “buonissima” pizza!

The cooking

This step is crucial, it is what will ensure that your dough is crispy underneath and well cooked in general. For cooking, we are going to give you our tips, to cook them (almost) like a pizza maker! The first: the special oven pizza stone. This stone makes it possible to obtain a crispy pizza in a few minutes! It’s much faster than baking it on a plate, because this refractory stone is a heat activator. Count 7 minutes of cooking with this stone, against 15 without.

If you have a BBQ, you can equip yourself with a refractory stone specially designed for barbecues. This will allow you to give this little taste of wood-fired pizza and of course crispy to your pizza.
