More charging solutions are coming to the Apple Store

Apple has just updated its online store and now offers an additional external battery for sale. The Mophie Powerstation Pro costs 169.95 euros in France and has a capacity of 20,000mAhenough to charge four iPhone 13 Pro Max or six iPhone 13. This device is also compatible with most current models, including the third generation iPhone SE.

According to the manufacturer, this power bank can also power your MacBook up to eight hours straight. Indeed, two USB-C ports are available on the side with a power of 45 watts. Therefore, you just need to separate the cable of your official Apple charger from its power supply to use it for this purpose. Practice !

GaN: where is the space saving?

Still in the Apple Store, Mophie is also launching the Speedport 120, with, as its name suggests, a power of 120 watt at the counter. On the menu, no less than four charging ports await you: three USB-C and one USB-A, for the oldest devices. The use of gallium nitride (GaN) technology is also supposed to make the design of the accessory more compact. But we only go from 96 x 75 x 28.6 mm for the 140 watt Apple two-port charger to 80 x 80 x 36 mm here: less wide, but thicker. Too bad, especially for lower performance…

At the same time, Apple is also adding three cigarette lighter chargers in its catalog, the most affordable of which costs 29.95 euros for 20 watts of power. It can be connected to any 12-volt car auxiliary port, and includes a USB-C socket to connect the Lightning cable from your iPhone or iPad.

For 34.95 euros, the power increases to 32 watts in Power Delivery with a USB-A port and a USB-C port. And for 5 euros more, two USB-C ports with 40 watts are waiting for you. The three chargers are currently only available in black from Apple. Here, no MFi certification, however the fact that Cupertino also markets these items can be seen as a guarantee of confidence. – Official App
