Lou Doillon gave birth to her second son! She shares a drawing of her baby with a rare first name

Pink notebook for Lou Doillon! Twenty years after becoming a mother for the first time, the singer gave birth to her second child. It was on Instagram that she announced the good news in a very touching way. Indeed, Jane Birkin’s daughter has published two drawings of her newborn baby boy, surely made by her companion, Stéphane Manel. In legend, she revealed the original first name of her child, born on July 26: “Laszlo Keats Miller Manel”. The little Laszlo therefore comes to join his big brother, the eldest of Lou Doillon, and his big sister, Tess, the daughter of Stéphane Manel. As a reminder, it was already on Instagram that the singer announced that she was expecting her second child. On March 18, she shared a tender video of her round belly.

To accompany this video, the singer shared a poem by Sylvia Plath. “Metaphors I am an enigma in nine syllables. An elephant, a heavy house. A melon strolling on two tendrils. O red fruits, ivory, beautiful woods! This bread is thick with its leavening. The silver is new in this big handbag (…) I ate a bag of green apples. Boarding the train, there is no getting off”, is it written. Lou Doillon will therefore plunge back into baby bottles and diapers for a few years. And with great pleasure! As a reminder, the young woman was already the proud mother of Marlowe Jack Tiger, born 20 years ago from her romance with musician Thomas John Mitchel. Lou Doillon’s family therefore has a new member who will make everyone crack up!

If Lou Doillon is so happy to have given life again, it is because she experienced a tragedy: a miscarriage, on Mother’s Day in 2021. “At 19, I became a mother, I had abortions, IMGs, miscarriages. Last year for Mother’s Day, I was in bed again suffering from a miscarriage, and at 39, I’m pregnant again. It’s an adventure to be a woman, to have a woman’s body. It’s a pain, it’s a joy, it’s mine. It’s my choice. My body, my choice. To all of us”, she wrote on Instagram. And to add an ode to women: “Being a woman, having a body that sometimes fails us, sometimes betrays us, often hurts us because of our periods, our cramps, the menopause, to this incredible body which also gives us pleasure. I love you”.
