As he had already advanced last March, Apple would have in mind to equip this first Apple Silicon Mac Pro with an M2 Ultra and, in its most beefy configuration, with an “Extreme” M2. The fruit of the assembly of two M2 Ultra. Just like the M1 Ultra are the sum of two M1 Max.

Listening to him, this Mac Pro could be unveiled towards the end of the year, but made available in the first months of 2023. Apple now has many chips on the fire, including that of the next iPhone, and only one manufacturer, TSMC, to simmer it all down.

Gurman also returns to the case of the next Mac mini, from which nothing should be expected in terms of renewing its design. The main focus will be on its content, with the use of M2 and M2 Pro chips.
