Apple is still working on its connected gloves (to go with its ARVR headset?)

Big favorites of rumours, Apple’s smart gloves come up regularly in USPTO sections. Today, the firm has obtained several patents relating to the use of gloves to detect skin contact in an AR/VR experience.

In a previous document, it was already a question of components such as force sensors, accelerometers or haptic feedback deviceswhich would allow detect and transcribe hand movements. These would be used to control electronic equipment, such as a Mac or iPhone.

But certain factors should be taken into account to properly feel the objects in their environment or not to disturb the user. Thus the gloves should be able to move a cursor, scroll, open a document, or even make a selection. For this it would be preferable / necessary to have a contact skin against skinwhich could be replaced by a system of emitter-receiver diodes. This would be based on other devices such as an Apple Watch or Apple Glasses. On some diagrams, we even see scenarios with two Apple Watches, which may prove to be a bit expensive!
