Apple announces the end of the mandatory mask in offices and Apple Stores

For 2 years now, Apple Park has required its employees in offices and Apple Stores to wear a mask daily to protect themselves from Covid-19. This benevolent rule exasperated a lot of employees who were in a hurry: the end of this health measure. Good news for them, it’s now over, Apple has just announced the end of the mask.

The mask disappears at Apple

Apple recently confirmed in an internal memo that office and store employees no longer have to wear of a face mask, unless local health authorities still require it. Apple’s COVID-19 Response Team has informed that the company is updating its health and safety protocols “in light of current circumstances”.

However, Apple recommends that employees who want to continue wearing the mask do so, the company says it is aware that each case can be particular and that it is normal for a fragile person to want to keep a mask.

Here is the letter that was sent to the employees:

The team,

We are writing to provide you with an update to our current protocols. In light of current circumstances, wearing a face mask will no longer be required at most venues. As always, please check Welcome Forward regularly for the specific requirements of your site, including those of local health authorities, or any other site you may visit.

We recognize that everyone’s personal circumstances are different. Feel free to continue wearing a face mask if you feel more comfortable doing so. Please also respect each individual’s decision whether or not to wear a mask.

Thank you for all you do to support Apple’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

The COVID-19 Response Team

Like Apple, the majority of companies in the United States no longer require their employees to wear the mask, Apple’s decision was taken a little tardilybut the Californian giant has favored vigilance, especially for Apple Store employees in contact with hundreds of visitors every day.
