The car and the house caught fire and Anne Heche was seriously burned, according to several American media.
The vehicle driven by the actress would have first hit the garage of a building before crashing into a house located in the district of Mar Vista, indicates the Los Angeles Times.
It took firefighters more than an hour to extinguish the fire that had broken out in the house following the accident.
No other injuries are to be deplored.
Anne Heche played in a large number of films, especially in the 1990s, including Six Days, Seven Nights or Men of Influence.
